[Kansas City, MO] The Nonprofit Leadership Alliance today announced the retirement of its President, Dorothy Norris-Tirrell, Ph.D., ACNP, effective December 31, 2025.
After ten years of distinguished service, Dr. Norris-Tirrell has decided to retire and pursue new opportunities. “It has been my honor to lead the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance and strengthen the work of the social sector,” said Dr. Norris-Tirrell. “I am incredibly proud of the accomplishments of our over 12,700 Certified Nonprofit Professionals (CNPs) and our staff team. I will cherish the memories made during my time here.”
Under Dr. Norris-Tirrell’s leadership, the Nonprofit Leadership instituted online programs for nonprofit professionals and college students to earn the Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) credential. The nonprofit organization is well-positioned for continued success in the future. The Board of Directors is currently conducting a search for Dr. Norris-Tirrell’s successor.
The Nonprofit Leadership Alliance thanks Dr. Norris-Tirrell for her leadership and commitment to excellence over the years and wishes her all the best in her future endeavors.
