How long does it take me to complete the program? 3 or fewer months.
Do I have to take an Exam? No exam necessary. You have already completed this by earning the CNP.
Professional Experience Requirement: 5 or more years of professional nonprofit experience with at least one year of managerial experience. Yes! You can count your years before earning the CNP.
Professional Development Requirement: 75 hours of professional development over the last 5 years. Yes! You can count the hours you used to earn the CNP if those hours were completed in the past 5 years.
Education Requirement: You have completed this requirement by earning the CNP.
Volunteer Service Requirement: 50 hours of volunteer service at a nonprofit organization. Yes! You can count the hours you used to earn the CNP if those hours were completed in the past 5 years.
Upon Credentialing: You will receive your Advanced CNP! The Advanced CNP must be renewed every 3 years.
How long does it take me to complete the program? 3 or fewer months.
Do I have to take an Exam? You will sit for a 100-question timed exam. You must achieve 76% to pass.
Professional Experience Requirement: 8 or more years of professional nonprofit experience with at least one year of managerial experience.
Professional Development Requirement: You must complete 75 hours of professional development within the last five years. Attending the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance’s annual conference, Elevate, is a great opportunity to complete some hours!

It’s Renewable?
Advanced credentials commonly require regular renewal. This ensures that credential holders are staying up to date with current trends, the latest industry developments, and the best leadership practices in the sector.
The ACNP credential is valid for three years. The credential can be renewed by submitting evidence that credential holders are continuing their work in the nonprofit sector and staying up to date with current trends and industry developments. Prior to your renewal date, you will be prompted to provide documentation to evidence your continued commitment to the sector.
The cost of renewal is $200. This rate will increase to $250 if your renewal lapses more than 30 days, and to $300 if your renewal lapses more than six months.
