The Nonprofit Leadership Alliance is proud to officially announce a new campus partnership with Auburn University’s Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies (PNPS) program to bring the nationally recognized Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) credential to AU students at a discounted rate.

Guided by Peter C. Weber, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Program Coordinator, and Auburn’s dedicated CNP Campus Director, students will be equipped to drive meaningful change in their local community and beyond Alabama.

He shares, “The Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies program (PNPS) in the College of Human Sciences at Auburn University is excited to partner with the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance and make the CNP credential available to Auburn students. The CNP’s focus on academic and professional development aligns with our goal of forming civically-minded professionals ready to improve the quality of life of our communities, regionally, nationally, and internationally.

Nonprofits are Changing the World. Who is Preparing Their Leaders?

The Nonprofit Leadership Alliance is a national alliance of colleges, universities, and nonprofits dedicated to educating, preparing, and nurturing the next wave of compassionate, skilled nonprofit leaders. By identifying college students with a passion for service and encouraging their personal and professional growth, the Alliance develops individuals with the leadership ability to positively influence social change through the nonprofit sector.

Dorothy Norris-Tirrell, Ph.D., ACNP (President) shared, Nonprofits are changing the world. But the real question is, who is preparing their leaders? Through this partnership with Auburn University’s Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies program, the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance is proud to help answer that call. By offering the Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) credential, we’re equipping students with the tools they need to lead with confidence and compassion.”

With affiliations across colleges and universities nationwide, the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance supports thousands of students in their pursuit of the CNP credential.
