Kansas City, Mo. – The Nonprofit Leadership Alliance is proud to announce our newest Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) Campus Partner: Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. 

Through this partnership, Virginia Tech students gain a preferred track to earning the nationally recognized Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) credential at a significantly reduced rate. Guided by Stephanie Davis, Virginia Tech’s dedicated Campus Director, students will be equipped to drive meaningful change in their local community and beyond. 

Stephanie Davis, Ph.D. shared, “The Certified Nonprofit Professional Campus Partnership Program provides our students with the opportunity to add the professional certification in conjunction with our Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit and Nongovernmental Organizations Management.  The combination of the academic program and the professional certification serves our goal of preparing the next generation of leaders in nonprofit organizations.  We are thrilled!”

The Nonprofit Leadership Alliance is a national alliance of colleges, universities, and nonprofits dedicated to educating, preparing, and nurturing the next wave of compassionate, skilled nonprofit leaders. By identifying college students with a passion for service and encouraging their personal and professional growth, the Alliance develops individuals with the leadership ability to positively influence social change through the nonprofit sector.  

Dorothy Norris-Tirrell, Ph.D., CNP (President) shared, “At the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance, our primary commitment is to strengthen the nonprofit sector’s workforce. We look to working with Virginia Tech students to develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities to effect positive change in their own communities.”
